Ashok Leyland has announced non-working days at various plant locations during September 2019. The company said it will observe non-working days due to continues weakness in demand.
In a regulatory filing to stock exchange, Ashok Leyland said it will observe 18 non-working days in its Pantnagar plant. It also announced that the company will observe 16 non-working days in Ennore plant and 10 non-working days in Alwar and Bhandara plants in September.

Maruti Suzuki had announced that it will stop production at its facilities in Gurugram and Manesar for two days amid a drop in sales.
Auto industry is facing slowdown from past several months. According to the latest data released today, automakers association SIAM said passengers car sales plunged by 41.1 per cent in August, while the 2-wheelers sales were down 22 per cent.
