CHANDIGARH: The Punjab unit of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) conducted a workshop for the organisational elections at the state office Kamalam on Thursday. National election officer of
BJP and MP
Radha Mohan was the chief guest and Chandigarh BJP President Sanjay Tandon, Organizational Secretary Dinesh Kumar and other officer bearers of the Chandigarh BJP were also present on the occasion.
The state booth committee elections will commence on September 11, followed by mandal and district level elections.
Addressing the workers presented at the workshop, Mohan said, “The BJP is the only political party in which democratic and lawful elections are conducted. All party workers are given role and responsibility after taking into consideration their capacities and capabilities.”
He said that the people of the country voted for BJP and made
Narendra Modi the Prime Minister. The BJP has become the largest political party in the world. The target of the membership drive was to create 2 crore new members across the country, but inspired by the ideology of the party, around 4 crore new members have joined the party.
He further added, “Since Article 370 was enforced in J&K for 70 years, the Kashmiris did not get a chance to progress. Nobody had ever imagined that the Article 370 could ever be removed but, PM Modi made that possible too. The tricolor will now be hoisted in Kashmir. Today, India is being seen as a superpower not only in the country but also abroad.”
The state unit shall ensure that the elections would be conducted peacefully and with full transparency to strengthen the organizational structure, he added.
In the end, he gave the mantra to conduct the organizational elections with solidarity and congratulated all the workers present for attending the workshop in large numbers.
