It’s only fitting that the Pats open up against the Steelers. On Saturday, the Patriots signed former Pittsburgh star Antonio Brown. The receiver won’t up tonight since he won’t officially be on the roster until Monday. In terms of team health, the Patriots are dealing with a shortage of tight ends. According to the NFL Network, Matt LaCosse isn’t expected to play tonight. The tight end has been dealing with an ankle injury. That will leave the Patriots with Ryan Izzo as their only tight end.

The Pats could be getting help soon as tight end Lance Kendricks is coming off an NFL suspension next week. If the Patriots are going to add Kendricks to their roster, they will need to release another player to make room.

According to the NFL Network, the Patriots are being cautious with Demaryius Thomas. The receiver is working his way through a hamstring injury, so don’t be surprised if Thomas is also inactive.
