Meghan Markle kept husband Prince Harry and baby Archie close to her heart during her first trip away from her family as she arrived in New York yesterday.
The Duchess of Sussex, 38, wore a gold necklace adorned with the letters 'H' and 'A' while watching her friend Serena Williams compete against Canadian Bianca Andreescu in the US tennis championship - and was pictured fiddling with her necklace as the game heated up.
In addition to the initials, the dainty piece of jewellery by brand Mini Mini, also features two tiny diamonds, and retails at £125.
Meghan is understood to have travelled on a 'last minute' trip to the city on Friday without her husband Prince Harry or four-month-old son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, making it the first time she has ventured abroad solo since giving birth to the young royal in May.

Despite being on the other side of the Atlantic, Meghan made sure to keep Prince Harry and baby Archie close with the touching necklace.
The 14-karat-gold dog-tag initial necklace is described online as 'contemporary' but 'classic'.
Meghan's delicate necklace stood out as she attended the event in New York - and it's not the first time that the Duchess has worn Archie's initials engraved in a piece of jewellery.
In July, the mother-of-one was seen wearing an adorable 'A' necklace to Wimbledon in yet another touching tribute to her son.

Keep casual like Meghan in a denim J.Crew dress
The Duchess of Sussex showed up to her support her pal, Serena Williams, as she competed in the US Open women's final.
Meghan is often supporting Serena from the sidelines in her sporting endeavors and even wearing pieces from the athlete's own clothing line.
Arriving at the match in New York, the royal looked casual (yet still her usual sophisticated self) in a denim shirt dress from J.Crew, a gray J. sweater sweater blazer, Victoria Beckham sunglasses and her favorite Jennifer Meyer earrings.
We're big fans of that denim dress; it's the perfect cross-season piece. Try yours with tights and chunky boots as the days get cooler, or wear alone with strappy sandals for a summery event.
If you want to emulate Meghan's elegant style, click right to shop the J.Crew dress for yourself. Be quick, we're certain this piece won't stick around for long!

It's not the first time that Meghan has favoured wearing her four-month-old son's initials - she donned an 'A' necklace at Wimbledon in July
On that occasion, the £278 ($350) dainty mini uppercase letter necklace was by Jennifer Meyer - and she also added a pair of turquoise mountain nosheen stud earrings costing £50 to complete her look.
As she cheered on her pal Serena yesterday, Meghan similarly opted for turquoise earrings but instead wore a stud pair by Jennifer Meyer in 18-karat yellow gold, which retail at $395 (£314) - the same ones she wore to a baseball game back in June.
Meghan has long-favoured delicate gold jewellery and was previously photographed wearing an 18-carat gold 'mommy' necklace when she was seven-months-pregnant, with many believing it could have been one of her baby shower gifts.

Meghan clasped her hands together as she cheered on her friend. After becoming Prince Harry's girlfriend and then a Duchess, Meghan is said to have leaned on Williams for mentoring on how to handle the media.
It's believed Meghan travelled on a commercial plane to New York on Friday after the royal's recent private jet expenditure and carbon footprint caused controversy.
A last-minute First Class return ticket to the Big Apple from London with British Airways costs over £6,000 for one person. She is understood to have travelled with at least one security officer, doubling that price.
As well as watching the tennis and surprising close friend Daniel Martin for his birthday, Meghan reportedly took part in a public yoga class while in New York, too.
