RAJKOT: A man was arrested on Saturday for allegedly stoning a 15-year-old boy to death over a trivial altercation on August 27 in the outskirts of Rangpar village on Morbi-Jetpur Road.
The deceased was identified as Sadiq Miyana, a helper at a chicken shop, and the accused as Vijendrasing Rajput (24).
“After Miyana’s body was found we came to know that he and Rajput had an altercation before he was killed. Following this, we searched for Rajput and found that he had left for his native in Madhya Pradesh,” said V B Jadeja, inspector with Morbi local crime branch (LCB).
A team of Morbi LCB went to Kanjagam in Shajapur district of Madhya Pradesh and arrested Rajput. During his interrogation, Rajput said he had killed Miyana with a stone as he was angry with Miyana for making him wait for an hour at his shop to buy chicken.
