Final touch to preparations for PM’s rally at Rohtak on Saturday
ROHTAK: Sounding poll bugle for the upcoming Haryana state assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a BJP rally in Rohtak on Sunday. It will be for the first time after becoming PM again that Modi will visit Rohtak.
The PM will address over 3 lakh ‘panna pramukhs’ (voter page incharge), who would take care of election management at macro level for the saffron party.
Chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar will culminate his 22-day long Jan Ashirwad rally in Rohtak the same day.
Giving a call of turning the Sunday rally eco-friendly, the administration has bought around 4,000 earthen pots to store drinking water so as to reduce usage of plastic containers during the gathering. Rajiv Jain, media adviser to the CM, said that it would help reduce use of plastic.
Anticipating assembly of heavy rush of vehicles on September 8 in Rohtak, the local administration has ordered to waive off toll tax of all vehicles plying on this road from 6am till midnight.
Rohtak deputy commissioner has ordered the toll plaza company to keep the movement of vehicles on rally day unhindered and without paying tax for curbing any traffic jam like issues.

The administration has also imposed ban on flying of drones or flying machines in the district in view of PM rally in the city. Meanwhile, Haryana DGP Manoj Yadav along with other senior officials visited the spot to oversee security arrangements.
Police said special arrangements on the road had been made to avoid any untoward incident during the heavy rush.
