Absconding directors of credit socy nabbed

Yavatmal: The sleuths of Yavatmal Economic Offence Wing led by police inspector Rahulkumar Raut on Saturday nabbed director duo of Sant Gadgebaba Nagari and Vyapari Credit Society who were absconding after allegedly duping depositors to the tune of Rs2.15 crore.
The credit society is based in Darda Nagar. According to PI Raut, society directors Vijay Marotrao Sabapure (59), a resident of local Dattatraya Nagar, and Sushil Ramdas Charlewar (34), a resident of Khandve Layout, took deposits from the public by offering lucrative incentives. “The depositors were left disappointed after they approached the society for refund on maturity of their deposits. The directors dishonoured their promises and fled,” he said.
The depositors lodged complaint at Awadhootwadi police station where an FIR was registered under sections 420, 409,406 and 34 of IPC and sections 3 and 4 of MPID act on March 7, 2018.
The investigation was later handed over to EOW.
