Heritage walk in city on Oct 1

Mysuru: As part of Dasara festivities, the heritage, museums and archaeology department will be hosting a heritage walk in traditional attire on October 1 in the city.
The ‘heritage walk’ will start at 7.30am and will proceed through Silver Jubilee Clock tower, Chamaraja Wadiyar X Circle, Mysuru Palace, KR Circle, Cauvery Emporium, Government Ayurveda College and culminate at MMCRI.
Interested men and women of any age can participate. They can register before 5pm on September 25 at the heritage department. Aadhar card is mandatory for registration. Contact: 0821-2424671.
The department is also hosting a contest called ‘Selfie with Heritage’. Interested candidates can take selfies in front of the heritage buildings in the city and submit the hardcopy of the photograph in 10x12 size to the department before 5pm on September 25. The first prize will be Rs 3,000, second prize will be Rs 2,000 and Rs 1,000 is the third prize. The photos can also be mailed to ddheritagemysore@gmail.com. Names of the winners will be published at 5pm on September 30 on the department premises.
