From 6am, SBS
Hopes of an Australian win in this Grand Slam are dashed with all our players, including the woman of the moment, Ash Barty, eliminated. Battling it out on this New York court are familiar giants of the sport – Serena Williams, Rafael Nadal and the gentleman of tennis, Roger Federer. The women’s singles final is this morning; tomorrow (Monday), from 6am, it’s the men’s.

Even with the rudest bits of the original novels cut out, this 1980s Kings Cross comedy serves as a reminder of how far we’ve come in terms of acceptable humour. Mostly, though, it’s raucous fun, as when the kings and queens of the underworld clash at the Royal Randwick Races. As the evil twin of a brothel madam, Rebel Wilson is so marvellously laconic it’s almost as if she’s not trying.

It would be interesting to compare how many times the average detective is required to go undercover at a BDSM sex club because this seems a pretty routine part of the job for TV detectives. Pretending to be an Australian sommelier in a vermillion cleavage peephole dress, Lizzie (Bojana Novakovic) delivers a screamingly ironic line defending her fake accent. There are no prizes for spotting the red herring hiding here in plain sight.
