Three men arrested for assaulting Tasmac workers in Coimbatore

COIMBATORE: The Coimbatore city police arrested three men for assaulting two Tasmac liquor shop employees at Rathinapuri on Thursday. Police are on the lookout for one more accused.
The arrested men have been identified as V Vishnu, 22, N Basha alias Murugesan, 38, and K Maikandan, 27. Police are on the lookout for Gowtham alias Karuppu Gowtham.
The accused were arrested based on a complaint by Nandhi Subramaniam, 64, of Ramanathapuram district.
Around 1am on Thursday, the accused reached the Tasmac shop and wanted to buy liquor. Subramaniam refused since it was not liquor selling time.
The accused picked up a fight with the Tasmac employees. The men assaulted Subramaniam and his colleague with a knife and liquor bottles. Subramaniam and his colleague suffered serious injuries.
