Selena Gomez's hair just keeps getting shorter

As per a break up, the end of summer is often accompanied by a change of look. Proof comes in the form not only of Charlize Theron’s radical bowl cut but Selena Gomez’s new chin-grazing bob, too; a style she debuted on Instagram this week, and one that might just make Vogue's iconic bobs list.

Pictured in the mountains with a friend, a new chop, and a big smile on her face, Gomez lamented the end of summer: “After a whole summer of being roommates, Anna, Fox and Freddy have gone home and I’m missing them already. I get to live life with the best people. I’m pretty freaking lucky.”

Proving that bobs don’t have to be high maintenance, Gomez wore hers au naturel, with wavy texture through blunt ends. With lighter colour through the bottom of the chop, the look was extra cool and carefree, especially when paired with gold hoops and bare shoulders; just like the longer lob before it, this is hair that will look just as at home on the red carpet as it does in the mountains.
