THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state gave a rousing reception to governor-designate Arif Mohammad Khan, who reached the capital city on Thursday morning. The former Union minister willbeswornin asthe state governor by Kerala high courtChief JusticeHrishikesh Roy at a ceremony to be held at RajBhavan at11am on Friday.
Though a former Congress leader, Khan, of late, has been voicing his support for many decisions by the BJP government, including Triple Talaq Bill, and he will be replacing P Sathasivam, who has completed his five year-term.

Khan, along with his wife Reshma Arif, reachedTrivandrum International Airport at 8.30am and was received by ministers and officials. After receiving the guard of honour by state police at the Air Force Technical Area, the he proceeded to Raj Bhavan, where chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan made a visitin the afternoon and held talks with him.
Khan was received at the airport by higher education minister KTJaleel,chief secretary Tom Jose, DGP Lokanath Behera and SouthernAir Command air officer-in-charge Air Marshal B Suresh.
