CHANDIGARH: A supporter of the National Students' Union of India (NSUI) was injured in a scuffle with members of the Students' Organisation of India (SOI) during the polling for Panjab University's students' council on Friday.
The incident occurred outside the Geology canteen after a heated argument between NSUI supporter Mahindar Pratap and SOI supporter Harsh.
PU officials said that the department was informed about the incident at 10.45am.
Mahindar Pratap suffered minor injuries in the incident following which the dean of the student welfare issued an order to shut the canteen.
