Scandal: On Monday, Flume's rumoured girlfriend Paige Elkington shared a clip of the musician seemingly performing a 'sex act' on stage for a few seconds at the American festival
The star was encouraged to take part in the stunt after fan Ambor Mercy held up a sign asking 'Does Flume even eat ***?' before telling him to 'prove it'.
In the clip, which was shared by his rumoured girlfriend Paige Elkington on Monday, the musician is seen seemingly performing a 'sex act' on stage for a few seconds.
He is then seen stepping back and flashing a smile to the cheering audience.
A friend of Ms Elkington's, who was on stage at the time, told Daily Mail Australia on Wednesday that 'it was Paige' in the video, and not a fan as previously assumed.

Speaking out: Ambor Mercy (pictured), who made the sign encouraging Flume to 'eat ***' on stage, told Daily Mail Australia on Wednesday that nothing sexual happened
Ambor, who made the sign and was stood in close proximity to the DJ booth when the incident occurred, told Daily Mail Australia that nothing sexual happened.
'It's sad to me that people are making it out to be some crazy sex act when he just put his face in [the woman's] bottom,' she explained.
'There was consent from her and she was wearing underwear so it's not like he actually [performed the sex act] on stage. It was just in good Burning Man fun.'
She added: 'He's a really awesome guy, I wish him the best and I really hope that this doesn't negatively affect him, that would make me really bummed.'
