'So far I am happy with my Aldi purchase of the vacuum. It's amazing how much dust it collects in each room,' she said.

Another woman said: 'I love mine. It's a bit stupid sometimes and can't find its way home but it's a lifesaver. I don't use the mopping function because I have rugs but it vacuums mainly my vinyl planking floors and my carpet bedroom.'

One shoppers said: 'I love this thing... worth the money. Does spit mopping and vacuums.'

Another customer said: 'I have sat and watched mine for longer than I probably should have. Sooooo excited.'

And another shopper said: 'Best thing ever! Love mine so much. The app is awesome. Cleaning schedules, You can change the type of clean ie, spot, edges or auto clean. There’s low, med, high water usage for the mop function. And a standard and max suction for the vacuum.

'I tend to use the max function for the carpeted room as it just makes sense to get a deep clean  and I take out the mop/water attachment when doing the bedrooms and I shut the door.'

How does the robotic mop work?

An electronically-controlled water pump consistently draws water from a reservoir to initiate the mopping.

What's more, the robot has sensors to automatically switch to mopping mode or stop dampening the cloth, so as to guarantee a safe and deep clean.

The reviews come just one day after the sold-out robotic vacuum returned on shelves across Australia on Wednesday.

'With a commitment to offering our customers quality yet affordable products, we partnered with Ecovacs on a Special Buy earlier this year and were blown away by the response,' Aldi Australia's buying director Shay Stearnes said.

'Off the back of the demand and feedback, it was the obvious choice to work together again for the [upcoming] spring cleaning Special Buys.'

Integrating more smart features without breaking the bank, the robotic machine can schedule and monitor cleaning through a smartphone app, while automatically creating an efficient cleaning path that best suits your home environment and includes anti-collision sensors.

'Allowing us to do this, we are thrilled to be partnering with ALDI again. The response last time was phenomenal and we are delighted to once again deliver a versatile, efficient and incredibly well-priced cleaning solution.'

There are similar high-tech robotic vacuums with mop on the market, costing anywhere between $600 to $1,400.

But for a fraction of the price, you can grab one at your nearest Aldi store for $299.
