British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Wednesday failed to win sufficient parliamentary support for his call for an early election. Members of parliament voted 298-56 - not enough to give the prime minister the required two-thirds majority. Johnson called for an early election after MPs earlier voted by 327-299 in favour of a bill designed to halt a No Deal Brexit, sending it to parliament's upper chamber, the House of Lords. Johnson on Wednesday hit out at opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn, after Johnson failed to win sufficient parliamentary support for his call for an early election.
