Indian Navy outplayed Railway Promotion Board 3-0 in a Pool 'B' match of the 93rd All India MCCMurugappa Gold Cup Hockey Tournament here on Wednesday.

In other matches, Indian Army defeated Indian Air Force 2-1 while the strong Indian Oil Corporation hammered Bengaluru Hockey Association 4-1 in Pool 'A'.

Ajinkya Yadav opened the scoring for Navymen in the 32nd minute. Pawan Rajbhar increased the lead five minutes later. Jugraj Singh rounded out the tally with a penalty corner conversion in the 59th minute.

In the Army-IAF match, the armymen bounced back after being a goal down when Jagat Nachana found the target in the 8th minute.

For Army, Prathap Shinde and Vishwa Thakur scored in the 45th and 49th minutes.

IOC was ahead by 2-0 through goals from Affan Yousuf (15th) and Armaan Qureshi (45th) before Nithin Thimmaiah reduced the margin for BHA in the 52nd minute.

S K Uthappa with a goal in the 59th minute and Rahil Moshin with a strike in the final minute made it a comprehensive win.
