2020 Porsche Taycan Configurator Launched – Pricing Starts At $150,900

Following this morning’s unveiling, Porsche has launched the configurator for the 2020 Taycan.

In the United States, the Taycan Turbo starts at $150,900. That’s pretty expensive, but it’s significantly cheaper than the Taycan Turbo S which begins at $185,000.

Prices quickly climb from there as the model is offered with an assortment of options. Starting with the exterior, the Taycan will be available in ten different colors and the only extra cost hue is Carmine Red. 20-inch wheels come standard on the Turbo, but customers can order four options including 21-inch wheels with carbon fiber aeroblades. The latter look pretty cool, but they cost a whopping $7,650.

A number of packages are available including a Premium package which costs $4,340. It includes a fixed panoramic glass roof, front / rear ParkAssist and a surround view camera system.  Other goodies include thermally and noise insulated glass, an air ionizer, a storage package, lane change assist and ventilated front seats.

The Performance Package, on the other hand, adds the sport chrono package, Porsche dynamic chassis control sport, rear axle steering, power steering plus and Porsche electric sport sound. It adds $5,400 to the base price of the Taycan Turbo.

On the styling front, there are two SportDesign packs. The basic package starts at $5,660 and includes a sportier front fascia, revised side skirts and a special diffuser.

Speaking of the exterior, a number of individual options are available including power folding mirrors ($330), carbon fiber mirrors ($1,630) and full body color mirrors ($660). Other options include LED door projectors ($330), high gloss black window trim ($400) and an assortment of colored badges.

On the performance side, options include surface coated brakes with high gloss black calipers for $900. Customers can also order ceramic composite brakes with yellow ($5,580) or high gloss black calipers ($6,480). Components from the Performance Package are also available individually and the sport chrono package retails for $1,320.

Moving into the cabin, there’s a host of options including a heated steering wheel ($280), a rear bench seat ($480) and massaging / ventilated front seats ($2,000). Customers can also order an assortment of trim options including Paldao wood ($2,000), carbon fiber ($2,460) and aluminum ($1,450). There’s also a four-zone climate control system with a rear 5.9-inch touchscreen for $990.

On the tech front, Night Vision Assist costs $2,420 while Porsche InnoDrive with Adaptive Cruise Control goes for $3,610. A 21-speaker Burmester premium audio system is available for $5,810 while the much talked about 10.9-inch front passenger infotainment system costs $1,130.

The US configurator can be found here, while customers in international markets can check out this more basic configurator.
