Bok rookie gets BaaBaas call-up

2019-09-04 16:41

Cape Town - It has been an exciting year for Herschel Jantjies.

A regular starter for the Stormers during their Super Rugby campaign, Jantjies excellent play during the competition saw him quickly move into Springbok contention.

And the scrumhalf took his chance with the Boks with both hands, scoring two tries on his debut in the opening game of the Rugby Championship against Australia in Johannesburg.

Now part of the Springbok squad that will battle for the Rugby World Cup in Japan, Jantjies star continues to rise around the world, so much so that he will form part of the Barbarians team to take on Fiji at Twickenham in November.

Jantjies will be joined by fellow Springbok Tendai Mtawarira as well as former French captain, Mathieu Bastareaud as well as Argentina's Ramiro Herrera in the first round of players announced for the match.
