Kundanpuri man in soup for abusing cop

Ludhiana: The police on Tuesday booked a Kundanpuri man on the charge of abusing an on-duty assistant sub-inspector (ASI).
Hardeep Singh misbehaved with Koomkalan police station ASI Kamaljit Singh when the latter asked him to join investigation into a case against him.
In his complaint, ASI Kamaljit Singh said, “Malkit Singh, a resident of Bonkar Gujran village, had filed a complaint against Hardeep, alleging he has been abusing him and issuing life threats. On August 31, when I called up Hardeep and asked him to join the case investigation, he started abusing me and threatened to get me transferred.”
Hardeep has been booked under sections 353 (assault or criminal force to deter a public servant from discharge of his duty), 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of public function) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC.
