Patiala: 6 booked for assault, outraging modesty of woman

PATIALA: The police in Patiala booked five persons under sections of IPC including voluntarily causing hurt and outraging the modesty of a woman. The case was registered on the complaint of a woman who is a resident of Alampur village. She had alleged that the accused torn her clothes on the outskirts of the village.
The complainant has been hospitalized in Government Rajindra Hospital in Patiala. Lakhwinder Singh, husband of the complainant woman said that the accused had assaulted them only for a reason to suppress them.
He claimed that he along with some other villagers are already contesting a case in the court against the accused as one of them had become member in the village Panchayat by submitting fake caste documents.
