BHOPAL:
Congress leader
Jyotiraditya Scindia on Wednesday came out in support of minister
Umang Singhar, who is on the warpath against
Digvijaya Singh, and said that no one should interfere in the running of the state government. He urged CM
Kamal Nath to talk to "both parties" and resolve the issue. In an indirect attack on Digvijaya, Scindia said, "The government should run on its own foundation and strength. No intervention should take place."
After Scindia's comments, the state Congress issued a statement from the CM saying, "Digvijaya Singh was CM for 10 years. He was also state Congress president. I consult him from time to time to take the benefit of his experience...." On Tuesday, Nath had summoned Singhar and two other MLAs whose names had surfaced in a controversial audio clip for some tough talk.
He told Singhar that he should have approached him to sort out issues rather than going to the media, said sources.
