‘Development projects are being proposed in PPP mode’

The VMRDA will invite the suggestions from builders and real estate developers while preparing the revised Master Plan for the city, its Chairman Dronamraju Srinivas Rao has said.

Mr. Srinivas Rao, who was felicitated by the CREDAI Visakhapatnam Chapter, said that many development projects were being proposed in the PPP mode, instead of concentrating development on a single stretch such as Beach Road. The plans would be finalised for decentralisation. “Focus will be laid on places such as Kailasagiri, Rushikonda, Bheemili, Sagarnagar and etc. the sand issue will be resolved soon by the government,” he said.

CREDAI (Visakhapatnam) Chairman K. Ramakrishna Rao urged Mr. Srinivasa Rao that three issues that were important to the builders—Master Plan Roads, Zoning Regulations and ‘air funnel’ issues pertaining to obtaining building plan approvals—should find focus in the VMRDA’s plan. MP M.V.V. Satyanarayana assured the CREDAI members that he would take up the ‘air funnel’ issue with the authorities concerned in New Delhi as it was under the jurisdiction of the Centre.

CREDAI former Chairman K. Subba Raju, Visakhapatnam Chapter president Bayana Srinivasa Rao and honorary secretary V. Dharmender spoke on the occasion.
