Marking a new entry point to Hyundai’s SUV range, the Venue will launch in Australia later this month with a starting price of AUD $19,990 (USD $13,433/€12,240).
The range kicks off with the Venue Go, which gets standard 8.0-inch infotainment system with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and a reversing camera, as well as cruise control, dusk-sensing headlights and hill-start assist.
Upgrading to the Active gets you LED DRLs, power folding side mirrors with LED repeaters, 15-inch alloy wheels, rear parking sensors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, and a six-speaker sound system. Pricing for the Active starts at AUD $21,490 (USD $14,441/€13,158).

The top-of-the-line model is the Elite that is priced from AUD $25,490 (USD $17,129/€15,607) and is easily distinguishable thanks to the two-tone look, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights and rear privacy glass. Standard kit also includes sat-nav, automatic climate control, blind spot collision warning and rear cross traffic collision warning.
The firm’s SmartSense safety suite, with forward collision avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, driver attention warning, high beam assist and tire pressure monitoring, is standard in all trim levels.
Powering the Venue is a 1.6-liter four with 121 HP (122 PS) and 151 Nm (111 lb-ft) of torque. The mill can be mated to either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission in the Go and Active grades, whereas the Elite is available solely with the latter. Finally, despite being front-wheel drive only, Hyundai’s small SUV boasts the Traction Mode system that, as it name implies, optimizes off-road traction on different surfaces such as snow, mud and sand.
