A rift emerged in Madhya Pradesh Congress unit after senior party leader and former MP Jyotiraditya Scindia apparently targeted Digvijaya Singh, saying that there should be no interference in the working of the government. Scindia's loyalist and state minister Umang Singhar was summoned by chief minister Kamal Nath on Tuesday after the former called party veteran Digvijaya Singh a "blackmailer." Singhar also accused him of trying to "destabilise" the government. Their meeting lasted for an hour. The chief minister told Singhar that he should have approached him before making statements to the media.
