JAIPUR: A green corridor was created from Jaipur airport to a private hospital on the Delhi road for transportation of liver on Wednesday afternoon. The traffic police played a key role in transportation of liver which was flown from Chandigarh for transplant into a patient admitted to a private hospital in Jaipur. The liver was harvested from a brain dead person in Chandigarh.

“When we received information that there is a need to transport liver from airport to a hospital and such organs should not get stuck in traffic. We created a green corridor for its transportation from airport to hospital,” said a traffic police official.
According to the traffic police, it took 40 minutes for the liver, which was kept in ambulance, to reach the hospital from airport.
