BCA student jumps from 11th floor, dies

Rajkot: A second-year student of Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) committed suicide by jumping from the 11th floor of Shri City Apartments in Munjaka village on the outskirts of Rajkot on Tuesday night.
Police said the deceased, Arush Kaddamanil (19), used to go to Shri City Apartments to take dinner at the mess run by Mithun Shilu. Kaddamanil had been studying in Christ College for the past two years.
“Before ending his life, Kaddamanil had sent a message from his cellphone to his friend conveying, ‘I quit’. However when questioned, his friend said that he had no idea what Kaddamanil had meant by the message. The reason of the suicide is still not known,” said an investigating officer. Kaddamanil’s father Jagdishan works in a Mundra-based factory.
