The Department of Posts has gained nearly 3.93 lakh savings accounts in its India Post Payment Banks across the State, over the last one year.
Chief Postmaster General, Tamil Nadu circle, M. Sampath, elaborated on the milestones achieved by IPPB, on Tuesday, on the occasion of its first anniversary. He launched Aadhaar-enabled payment services in IPPBs on the occasion. The service will enable customers to withdraw money from any bank, through IPPB counters at post offices, using their Aadhaar numbers.
