Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Saaho released in theatres on August 30, making it the solo release of the day. Due to the avoidable clash with Mission Mangal and Batla House, Saaho went on to mint huge profits over the first few days.
In fact, even on first Tuesday, Saaho, as a stand-alone film, has gone on to create a good record. The Prabhas-Shraddha Kapoor starrer minted Rs. 9 crore approximately in the Hindi version of the film, according to a report on Box Office India. It earned Rs. 2.75 crore in Mumbai, Rs. 2.37 crore in Delhi/UP and Rs. 83 lakhs in East Punjab.
Considering the movie is a Telugu film which has a Hindi version, the Prabhas-Shraddha Kapoor film has made decent collections, ranking on third number in top 5 highest grossing films on first Tuesday in the year 2019. Although Saaho went on to beat the likes of Mission Mangal and Bharat, it failed to reach numbers scored by Kabir Singh and Uri: The Surgical Strike.
Shahid Kapoor-Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh remains the highest grossing film of 2019 on first Tuesday after it minted Rs. 16.30 crore net. Vicky Kaushal's Uri: The Surgical Strike, which was the first release of the year, had earned Rs. 9.60 crore on its first Tuesday, thus breaking a record. Saaho ranks on the third position, lagging behind the two highest grossing films of 2019 yet.
