An obese sugar addict who used to eat an entire block of chocolate for breakfast has lost an incredible 50kg and six dress sizes - all without exercise.

Just 18 months ago, Cassie Thorpe, from Airlie Beach in Queensland, said her self-confidence was at an all-time low after she reached her heaviest weight of 135kg.

The 26-year-old said she 'absolutely hated' looking at her reflection in the mirror due to her obese size 26 frame and said she would regularly eat chocolate first thing followed by sweets, ice cream and greasy takeaway meals throughout the day.

But in February 2018 inspirational Cassie decided 'enough was enough' and decided to ditch her sugar habit for good.

'I had terrible eating habits and I was totally addicted to sugar. Sweet things were my weakness and I'd eat chocolate, lollies, cake and ice cream daily,' Cassie, an aged care nurse, said.

'I'd usually have unhealthy takeaway food for lunch and dinner, like greasy Chinese food or a McDonald's burger meal and I'd be totally disgusted when I'd look at my reflection in the mirror.

'I couldn't believe how I'd let myself go and how big I'd gotten - it affected my entire mood. I hated feeling that way and I knew something had to change or I'd always be unhappy with myself.'

After ditching sugar, Cassie focused on totally overhauling her diet and swapped her sugary, greasy meals for wholesome, nutritious meals instead.

And within just 18 months, Cassie dropped to 85 kilos and a size 12 - 14.

To keep the weight off, Cassie also started a 'Slim By Nature' detox and fat-burning program, which focuses on special detox drops and a clean eating plan to help shed the pounds naturally.

Her diet is also now centred on a high-protein, low carb plan which is full of natural and clean fresh foods and still doesn't exercise due to weak knees and a weak back.

'It just shows how much of a role diet plays in your weight loss journey - I feel incredible and have even had to buy a whole new wardrobe.

'I'm so much more confident now. I don't feel ashamed to go out anymore. Losing the weight has changed my entire life. I will never go back to how I was.'
