NEW DELHI: The domestic equity benchmark BSE Sensex was trading 80.24 points down at 36,482.67 on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Shares of Visa Steel Ltd (down 17.78 per cent) , Gyscoal Alloys (down 15.44 per cent) , Jeevan Scientific Technology (down 13.98 per cent) , Punjab Alkalies (down 11.11 per cent) , High Energy Battery (down 11.04 per cent) , Shivam Autotech (down 10.36 per cent) , Denis Chem Lab (down 10.00 per cent) , Vasundhara Rasayans (down 9.68 per cent) ,
Bhagyanagar Industries (down 9.50 per cent), Acknit Industries (down 9.48 per cent),
Coffee Day Enterprises (down 5 per cent) and Reliance Communications (down 5 per cent) were among the worst performers.
In the Nifty pack, 20 stocks were trading in the green, while 30 stocks were in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 23.65 points down at 10,774.25.
