Crews rush to fire at Bandyup Women's Prison
A fire has broken out at Bandyup Women's Prison with unconfirmed reports of mattresses ablaze.
The prison, located in West Swan, is home to around 400 inmates and has minimum, medium and maximum security wings, as well as a mother and baby wing.
Fire fighters were called to the blaze about midday, with nine crews on site.
Police and ambulance were also in attendance.

The Department of Justice, in a statement released at 1.30pm, said a small fire had been lit in a cell at the prison.
"It was extinguished immediately by prison officers, some of whom are currently receiving hospital treatment for smoke inhalation as a precaution," it said.
"No prisoners have been injured.
"DFES is attending, as is routine in such circumstances."
