The grim discovery comes three days after the body of Danielle Easey, 29, was found wrapped in plastic and dumped in Cockle Creek at Killingworth, which is about an hour's drive north.

Miss Easey's corpse was discovered by a passersby on Saturday floating near the shore of Cockle Creek in Lake Macquarie, in the New South Wales Hunter Region.

Police now believe the 29-year-old mother-of-two's body may have been there for up to three weeks.

Miss Easey made national headlines when she was famously born on a patch of grass in Newcastle during the region's horror 1989 earthquake.

She was given the nickname 'Quaker' after the miraculous birth.
