Stock market update: Realty shares down; Sunteck Realty dips 2%

The Nifty Realty index was trading 0.26 per cent down at 266.50 around 10:06 am.

NEW DELHI: Realty shares were trading in the negative zone in Tuesday's morning session.

Shares of Sunteck Realty (down 2.31 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate (down 1.40 per cent), Brigade Enterprises (down 1.35 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects (down 1.27 per cent) were the worst performers in the index.

Phoenix Mills (down 0.40 per cent), DLF (down 0.33 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers (down 0.03 per cent) too were trading in the red.

The Nifty Realty index was trading 0.26 per cent down at 266.50 around 10:06 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 96.15 points at 10,927.10 while the BSE Sensex was down 319.25 points at 37,013.54.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 11 were trading in the green, while 38 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, PNB, Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, Bank of Baroda, Union Bank India, SAIL, SBI, Ashok Leyland and Indiabulls Housing Finance were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
