Calvin Fisher is a dedicated car enthusiast. We both are. As a matter of fact, our near two-decade long friendship was founded on our love of cars.

I'll spare you the petrolheads' details but recently we drove together at the launch of the highly-anticipated new Toyota Supra. As two big-time Toyota fans and owners, we shared our sentiments online (see the video further below). I also got us lost, in a Supra, much to Fisher's dismay (sorry Kinnux) but to the delight of the residents of Graaff-Reinet.

DRIVEN: Is the new Supra more than just a BMW Z4 with a Toyota badge?

Fisher owns a Mk2 Supra Celica, so the launch was rather special. Watching this video will make any die-hard Toyota fan tear up as its endearing stories from the previous-generation owners tugs your heartstrings.

Fisher says: "I can't speak for the internet commentators, the keyboard warriors, and the pot stirrers...

"With this video I chose not to get lost in the BMW conversation around the new car, but instead I caught up with Supra true believers. The hardcore tuners, humble enthusiasts, passionate restorers and avid collectors.

"Because the new Supra, just like the previous ones, is still a car that everyone can enjoy. Over 41 years, and five generations, the Supra has evolved. But it hasn't grown up. And it very much still has a life of its own.

Watch five generations of the Toyota Supra and take a journey with the true-believer owners:

SPECIAL THANKS

To all the drivers, the passionate fans who came together to make this video, to my video squad including Shahied Johaadien and Zaid Gafieldien and to Dylan Curry for this dope thumbnail. And to my wife who took time out of her busy schedule to drive the new Supra for me.
