Ken Yon, Benyappa clinch titles

Pune: Ken Yon Ong from Malaysia put on a good show as he beat second seed Meiraba Luwang from India 13-21, 21-19, 23-21 in the final of the Men’s Singles Under-19 category of the Yonex Sunrise India Junior International Grand Prix 2019 which concluded at Modern Sports Complex here on Sunday.

In the Women’s Singles final, top seeded Thailand player, Benyapa Aimsaard beat Riko Gunji from Japan 21-19, 18-21, 23-21 in a match which lasted for 61 minutes.

In the Men’s Doubles final action, Malaysia’s pair of Jhy Dar Odi and Roy King Yap defeated Japan’s Takuma Kawamoto and Tsubasa Kawamura 17-21, 21-16, 23-21.
