Delhi: Speeding car ploughs through crowd, injures one in Model Town

NEW DELHI: In a sensational incident of hit and run, the driver of a car tried to plough through a crowd and injured a man at Model Town area of northwest Delhi. A video of the incident went viral on social media.
Police say that a case of rash and negligent driving and causing hurt due to negligence has been registered against the driver and efforts are being made to track him down.
The video shot at the Gupta Colony area shows the driver of the black sedan arguing with some people while driving through the crowd. The driver suddenly accelerates with the car and then reverses into the crowd hitting a few people on the way. One of the men climbed on the car and tried to smash the windshield, but the driver started speeding. The man standing on the bonnet was thrown back.
Police say that the incident happened on Sunday night after which the locals tried to chase the driver but he managed to get away.
