India defeated West Indies by 257 runs on day four of the second Test match at Sabina Park, Kingston, Jamaica on Monday.
The hosts started the day with eight wickets in hand and they did get off to a steady start thanks to Shamarh Brooks and Darren Bravo.
But after facing ten deliveries, Bravo had to walk off the pitch after hitting Jasprit Bumrah to the cover for a boundary.
On Sunday, Bravo was hit on the head with a wicked bouncer by Bumrah. The ball took a surprising bounce and shattered his helmet stem guards.
The medics rushed in and after a thorough checkup, he was allowed to play on again. He faced only ten balls on Monday before going off.
Bravo will now be undergoing a medical examination, including tests for a possible concussion. According to the Windies media manager, Bravo did undergo a concussion test at the end of the third day's play and passed it before play began today.
12th man Jermaine Blackwood was named in as Bravo's replacement for the rest of the series.
Blackwood now becomes the second ever 'concussion substitute' in Test cricket history after Australia's Marnus Labuschagne replaced Steve Smith in the ongoing Ashes series.
It was Ravindra Jadeja who delivered the first blow of the day by removing Roston Chase as West Indies lost their third wicket on the chase on 97.
In the very next over, India pacer Ishant Sharma removed Shimron Hetmyer for his side, as the Windies all-rounder departed after scoring just 1-run and the scorecard showed 145/4 after 40 overs.
After lunch, the hosts lost Jermaine Blackwood for 38 runs as Jasprit Bumrah provided India with a very critical breakthrough. Shamarh Brooks was the only standout batsman in the entire Windies lineup who went on to score his first Test half-century off 115 deliveries.
But thanks to some brilliant piece of fielding by skipper Virat Kohli, who's one-handed through dislodged the stumps before Brooks managed to cross the line, ended his brilliant knock.
Ravindra Jadeja's floated delivery helped India Jahmar Hamilton for a duck as West Indies stood on 177/7 with a mountain of runs ahead of them.
The last three wickets also came quickly for the tourists as inform Mohammed Shami dismissed both Cornwall(1) and Kemar Roach(5) before Jadeja removed skipper Holder(39) to wrap up the game.
Indian bowlers were very effective on the day as Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Shami picked up three wickets each with Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah getting two and one wickets respectively.
With this win, India completed their first clean-sweep in a Test series in the Caribbean.
Virat Kohli also surpassed former Indian skipper MS Dhoni to become the most successful Indian Test captain.
