Bus driver held for knocking down cows

Vadodara: A driver of city bus service was arrested for knocking down three cows in Fatehgunj on Monday midnight.
Dhanji Khisti was driving the city bus at high speed while going toward Fatehgunj petrol pump. As he was nearing Petit Library on Fatehgunj main road, Khisti did not slow down the heavy vehicle even as he saw three cows on the road. Police said he rammed the vehicle into the bovines, injuring them critically. A large crowd gathered at the accident spot even though it was midnight. Cops reached the spot and dispersed the crowd.
Later, Krishnapalsinh Tavar, a student of MS University, lodged a complaint of rash driving against Khisti at Sayajigunj police station. The driver was nabbed from his house at Navayard on Tavar’s complaint.
