It has been two years since Ayushmann Khurrana-Bhumi Pednekar starrer Shubh Mangal Saavdhan released in theatres. The movie, helmed by Aanand L Rai, marked the beginning of an association between Rai and National-award winner Ayushmann.

Ayushmann Khurrana, along with his Badhaai Ho co-stars, Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao, who played his parents in the movie, is now set to be seen in the sequel of Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. Titled Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, the concept this time revolves around a gay couple.

Interestingly, the movie also marks the beginning of an association between Aanand L Rai and Bhushan Kumar. Bhushan, who has associated with Rao as a music producer, will now produce Rai's films too, beginning from Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan.

Talking about the association, Bhushan Kumar said, "I had earlier associated with Aanand L Rai for the music of his films 'Tanu Weds Manu' and 'Zero'. He has a great music sense and now I am delighted to collaborate with him for movies too."

"I believe they add tremendously to a film like 'Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan' with their understanding of music and the pulse of the audience. With our combined strengths, we hope to collaborate on scripts that are exciting, empowering and entertaining," Aanand L Rai went on to add.

Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is being helmed by Shubh Mangal Saavdhan dialogue and screenwriter Hitesh Kewalya.
