GREATER NOIDA: An unidentified person has been booked after two and a half years for rash driving and causing death due to negligence.
The brother of the deceased alleged that he approached the Knowledge Park police station multiple times to get the FIR lodged but police said it was too late.
According to Amit Kumar, on January 7, 2017, his brother, Anuj, who worked as an engineer in a private company, suffered serious injuries after his Bullet bike was hit by another speedy motorcycle.
“My brother was taken to Kailash Hospital from where he was referred to the Safdarjung Hospital where he died on January 10, 2017. A complaint was given to the Knowledge Park police station about the case but no FIR was lodged,” reads the FIR in possession with TOI.
Amit said that he continuously made trips to the police station but the process was always delayed. The FIR was finally lodged on Saturday after the complainant approached the SSP with Amit’s complaint.
