RAJKOT: Two persons including a 13-year-old girl drowned in two different incidents reported from Dayal village of Mahuva taluka and Vangadhra village of Umrala taluka in Bhavnagar district. In Dayal village, Nilofar Pithadia drowned in the sea.
“Nilofar had come to see the fair at Ratneshwer Mahadev Temple which is organized every year on the beach. She went into the knee-deep water and got swept away by a giant wave,” said an official from Mahuva police station. Meanwhile in another incident, one Raju Mistry drowned in Kalubhar River into which he had plunged for bathing in Vangadhra village.
