"Inaaya copies me, is crazy about lipsticks", says mom Soha Ali Khan

"Inaaya copies me, is crazy about lipsticks", says mom Soha Ali Khan
Kids have an impressionable mind. They see and catch on things so quickly. Whether it's a song that's playing on the television or the words you say, toddlers try to imitate it all!
Actress and author Soha Ali Khan's little one, Inaaya Naumi Kemmu is just at that stage right now. Remember when Soha candidly said that Inaaya is a naughty baby who has taken after her father, Kunal Kemmu?

"I feel every kid has to be naughty. I like active babies and Inaaya is a very naughty and active kid. We are still exploring different shades of her personality and I think there is going to be a lot of Kunal (Kemmu) in her."

Well, she just gave us some more evidence to believe her! Don't be fooled by her adorable green eyes! She likes to try out everything, and that includes putting on makeup from her mother's vanity bag!

Recently, in an interview, Soha let people know that her daughter likes to do the same things as her! Seeing her mom get ready, little Inaaya wanted to apply lipstick! She even knows how to pose for photos!

"Inaaya is at an age where she does everything that I do. Today, I was taking a picture while leaving home and she, too, struck a pose like me! She is crazy for lipstick," says Soha.

In fact, her mom says that Inaaya already knows a lot about makeup. As cute as that sounds, Soha is in no mood to allow her baby girl to start using makeup so early! She added:

"Inaaya knows what mascara is, and she knows what eyeliner is. Of course, I haven't given her lipsticks but I gave her lip balms instead."

"She doesn't use it but it's a challenge keeping her away from these things. It's also exciting to see her do things because she is really sweet. She copies everything I do so, and I have to be careful and responsible"

In the past, the 37-year-old mother to one also opened up about how she is trying to set the right examples for her daughter and said that motherhood completely changed her perspective about life. Once she welcomed her daughter, she started respecting her own mother more, wanted to be with Inaaya all the time and ensure a normal upbringing for her, away from the camera flashes, considering that Inaaya has a fan following matching her cousin Taimur! She mentioned:

"I always thought about what it's like to be a mother. When you become a mother, you respect your mother so much more. For the first time last week, I left my daughter Inaaya alone with my husband Kunal (Kemmu) and he called me up at the end of the day and said he has so much respect for the fact that I do this every day,"

"I know that she loves being on swings, and I said I want to get her a swing. And that's when [Kunal] said, 'Okay, look. I don't want her to have everything, even if you can afford it. She should also look forward to going to Taimur's house because he has a swing. The more time I spend with her, the more difficult it is to walk away and I know she is fine without me, and I'm the one who crumbles without her.

"It's like a contrast where you want her to be dependent on you but you also need her to be independent. So it is more about me and I know it is more important for me to go back to work and have my own life because soon she is going to have her own friends and then she is going to be like, 'Please, I don't want to hang out with you' and I'll just be destroyed if I don't have something of my own going on."

Soha also revealed some details about birthday plans for her soon to turn two-year-old daughter. She surely is growing up so fast! Both Soha and Kunal want the celebrations to be rather low-key and are not in favour of organizing big bashes!

"We celebrated her first birthday. I think Inaaya isn't bothered about what we do. I think now we should celebrate her birthdays when she completes her fifth, 11th and 25th year of age. I am sure I won't even be invited to her 25th birthday! She will be like 'Hi, see you later'. This time probably we will not celebrate her birthday on a big scale but there will be a small family get-together at home."
