Candidates find TNPSC Group IV exam easy

CHENNAI: A majority of candidates who appeared for the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission's (TNPSC) Group IV exam on Sunday found the question paper easy compared to that in the previous year.
The TNPSC conducted the exam to fill 6,491 vacancies, including village administrative officer and junior assistant posts. A record number of 16.3 lakh candidates applied for the exam.
The exam was conducted at more than 5,000 centres across the state.
In Chennai, more than one lakh candidates appeared for the exam at 435 centres.
The exam was conducted from 10am to 1pm.
"There are many questions from Tamil literature and history. Many questions are familiar," said Ayyanar from Tambaram
Puratchidasan, who wrote the exam at Vels University, said it was easy as he had prepared general Tamil.

Some candidates said multiple choices had appeared very similar and there was chance for mistakes.
The exam was conducted for 300 marks.
