MUMBAI: A 34-year-old man was arrested on Saturday for allegedly groping a woman on a foot-over-bridge at the Bandra railway station. The accused, Akbar Usman Ali, lives at the Shastri Nagar slum in Bandra (east).
The 23-year-old woman was on her way home around 6.35pm when Ali came up from behind her and groped her. The woman raised an alarm and on-duty police personnel caught hold of Ali.
He was taken to the railway police post at Bandra station and was booked under section 354 of the Indian Penal Code.
The produced before a holiday court at Bandra police took Ali into custody.
