‘Come to me if issues not resolved by police officials’

PIMPRI: Commissioner of Police RK Padmanabhan during the ‘Open Dialogue’ programme with residents of Moshi, Chikhali and Dudulgaon, on Sunday, asked them to contact him if the lower rank police officers are not able to resolve their grievances.

Bhosari MLA Mahesh Landge, PCMC Mayor Rahul Jadhav, corporators Vasant Borate, Dinesh Yadav, Sagar Hingne and Ashwini Jadhav were also present on the occasion. Many residents complained of illegal liquor shops and gambling dens in the area. 

Padmanabhan said, “People should inform the police immediately if they come across any illegal activity. The police and public must come together to eliminate any crime. The housing societies and shops should also install CCTV cameras, which will act as a deterrent for criminals.”

When residents asked the top cop to make no objection certificate (NoC) mandatory from housing societies before opening of any wine shop in the area, the official assured them of a positive outcome.
