MUMBAI: Four members of a family from Mankhurd were arrested for allegedly assaulting the members of another family over a petty issue.
The complainant, Khaghar resident Poonam Tak had gone to visit her relatives in Mankhurd. Her 10-year-old son was playing in their building compound when the accused, Amit Kajaniya beat him. The scuffle led to a fight between members from both the families. The police said Amit hit Tak with a sharp object, causing a head injury. After she was rushed to the hospital where she got three stitches, she approached the Mankhurd police.
Amit, Ravi, Rajendra and Madhu Kajaniya were arrested for assault, causing hurt, threating and criminal intimidation, said the police.
