And it seems consumers have found an unlikely style saviour in the form of budget retailer Kmart, thanks to one particularly fashion forward (and pocket friendly) $27 linen blazer.
The Kmart Longline Blazer, which comes in a variety of colours including black, navy and stone pinstripe, is proving to be a nationwide hit and bears a striking resemblance to designer creations worth almost $1,000.

Sydney-based stylist Tina Abeysekara - also known as Trash to Treasured - demonstrated the versatility of the blazer by creating a variety of casual daytime, glamorous evening and office appropriate ensembles on Instagram.
Sharing a series of looks with her 77,300 followers, Ms Abeysekara noted how 'Kmart have really raised the style/quality stakes' recently.
