VADODARA: Residents of Kalali village on the outskirts of the city were on tenterhooks for a week after they spotted a crocodile in open fields. Late on Saturday night, a 12-foot crocodile was rescued from an open field by volunteers of Wildlife Rescue Trust (WRT).

“Residents of Kalali were scared after they spotted this giant crocodile. On Saturday night, the reptile again arrived in an open field there, but this time it got caught in a fence. We rescued it at about 11.30pm,” said Arvind Pawar of WRT.
Another three-foot crocodile was rescued and handed over to the forest department.
