Schneiderlin backs Blues to bounce back
Everton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin insists his side will be aiming to win Sunday’s game against Wolves for the fans.
The Blues suffered their first defeat of the season against Aston Villa on Friday night, producing a performance that left many of the club’s supporters angered by what they witnessed.
But the Frenchman, speaking to evertonfc.com, believes there is still enough quality in the Blues’ squad for them to enjoy a good season.
“We remain optimistic. Everyone is disappointed not to win but we have enough good players to have a great season.
“Everyone is upset with the result. But now is the time to refresh and play the cup game, then next Sunday we have a tough game against Wolverhampton and we need to win in front of our fans.
“The main thing now is to rest and recover and work on the things we need to improve.”

Hornby set for medical
Everton forward Fraser Hornby is set to undergo a medical with Belgian side KV Kortrijk.
As reported by the Echo last week, Hornby has snubbed a host of Football League clubs in favour of a move abroad.
Hornby was due for talks with the Belgian First Division side over the weekend, and it now appears that those talks have progressed well and deal could be finalised in the coming days.
Kortrijk are owned by controversial Cardiff chief Vincent Tan.

Gbamin injury update
Everton look set to be without Jean-Philippe Gbamin for three months after the midfielder picked up a thigh injury in training.
Gbamin joined the Blues from Mainz for £25m during the summer transfer window, with the 23-year-old featuring in his side’s opening two Premier League games.
But according to Paul Joyce of the Times, and Phil McNulty from the BBC, the Ivory Coast international is set to be sidelined for the next three months.
